三大圣劍分別是亞瑟王的斷鋼劍（Excalibur）、大英雄羅蘭的杜蘭達(dá)爾（Durindana）、查理大帝的黃金之劍（Joyeuse）。當(dāng)然畢竟是都是傳說(shuō)中的劍，歐洲三大圣劍也有很多其他的說(shuō)法，這里我所說(shuō)的是普遍認(rèn)為的三大圣劍。

斷鋼劍（Excalibur）：傳說(shuō)中亞瑟王的佩劍，它與這個(gè)傳說(shuō)本身的主題一樣，代表了支配與破壞，從而被稱(chēng)為英雄治理的象征，是王中之王的武器、劍中之劍。值得一說(shuō)的是，這里的斷鋼劍指的是湖中劍，并不是亞瑟王早期的石中劍。

斷鋼劍是在精靈國(guó)度阿瓦隆打造。劍鍔由黃金所鑄，劍柄上鑲有寶石，因其鋒刃削鐵如泥，故以“Excalibur”命名?！癊xcalibur”，在古塞爾特語(yǔ)中為“斷鋼”之意。

梅林告誡亞瑟王：”斷鋼劍雖強(qiáng)大，但其劍鞘卻較其劍更為貴重。佩帶斷鋼劍的劍鞘者將永不流血，你決不可遺失了它?！庇谑莵喩醭蔀榱诉@柄劍的主人之后他利用這柄素有精靈之力的神器所向披靡。

杜蘭達(dá)爾（Durindana）：侍奉法蘭克王國(guó)查理曼大帝的十二騎士之首英雄圣騎士羅蘭的佩劍。同時(shí)他也是史上第一位被稱(chēng)作圣騎士的人，在查理曼的相關(guān)傳說(shuō)中受到各種形式的描寫(xiě)，成為了象征騎士羅蘭之勇武的存在。 

“Durindana”意大利語(yǔ)意為“不死的利刃”。傳說(shuō)該劍和著名的亞瑟王圣劍EX-calibur一樣同為片手劍，劍柄由黃金鑄成，其中鑲嵌著圣彼得的牙、圣巴西流的血、圣丹尼斯的頭發(fā)和一片圣母瑪利亞的衣服碎片等一系列的圣遺物，并有大量水晶作為裝飾，劍刃閃閃發(fā)光，可以說(shuō)是一把極盡華美奢侈之氣的神圣武器。

而寶劍本身也是鋒利無(wú)比，無(wú)堅(jiān)不摧。即使是切碎大理石石劍身也絲毫不會(huì)有所損傷，更可以輕而易舉的將磐石（近三千米高的大理石）斬成兩段。

咎瓦尤斯（Joyeuse）：法蘭克王國(guó)加洛林王朝國(guó)王查理大帝的佩刀，注意真的是佩刀，我沒(méi)有打錯(cuò)，雖然是劍的形狀。咎瓦尤斯又被稱(chēng)為“黃金之劍”，“歡悅之劍” “地球之劍”。這里“Joyeuse”法語(yǔ)譯為快樂(lè)的意思，源自于當(dāng)時(shí)法蘭克軍開(kāi)戰(zhàn)時(shí)的吶喊聲，法語(yǔ)中的“情人節(jié)快樂(lè)”就寫(xiě)作“Joyeuse Saint-Valentin”。但是這把刀被傳的最廣的名字還是黃金之劍，具體是因?yàn)樗臉?gòu)造。

5世紀(jì)西羅馬帝國(guó)滅亡后，支配歐洲的就是法蘭克王國(guó)，后來(lái)逐漸分裂為三個(gè)王國(guó)，即德意志，法蘭西，意大利.8世紀(jì)末，統(tǒng)治法蘭西克的查理曼其手下有12個(gè)被稱(chēng)為”帕拉丁”的騎士（即查理曼十二勇士），其中以羅蘭最為有名.他驍勇善戰(zhàn)，擁有無(wú)可挑剔的美德，是法蘭西時(shí)代可與亞瑟相比的騎士。

關(guān)于DURANDAL，相傳是查理大帝送給羅蘭的.在查理大帝成為國(guó)王的時(shí)候，羅蘭從天使處獲得此劍，天使要他獻(xiàn)交給國(guó)王，告訴國(guó)王把此劍給他最強(qiáng)的騎士，羅蘭照辦了。查理大帝有感于他的誠(chéng)實(shí)，就把此劍賜給他，命他守護(hù)在自己身邊，而羅蘭也感激國(guó)王，發(fā)誓永遠(yuǎn)對(duì)他效忠。
