UVB（英文全稱：ultraviolet radiation b）是根據(jù)生物效應(yīng)的不同，將紫外線波長劃分出來的一個波段，UVB燈管波長為275～320nm，又稱為中波紅斑效應(yīng)紫外線，主要應(yīng)用于醫(yī)療，老化測試，光譜分析等，UVB紫外線對人體具有紅斑作用，能促進體內(nèi)礦物質(zhì)代謝和維生素D的形成，但長期或過量照射會令皮膚曬黑，并引起紅腫脫皮。
