reject 和 refuse 的區(qū)別

1. 從語氣上看：refuse 屬普通用詞；而 reject 則屬于正式用詞，多用于較正式的場合。

2. 從意思上看：refuse 表示“拒絕”，強(qiáng)調(diào)態(tài)度的肯定和堅(jiān)決；而 reject 則強(qiáng)調(diào)擯棄、不采用或不使用。

They rejected all the bad apples. 他們?nèi)拥袅怂械膲奶O果。

注：若不嚴(yán)格區(qū)分，有時(shí)(如表示拒絕接受時(shí))兩者也可換用。如：

reject 和 refuse 的區(qū)別

refuse 1.拒絕某人的請求要求；

2.回絕推卻別人所提供給你的東西；

3.拒絕給別人所需之物。

reject 1.拒絕接收不予考慮（觀點(diǎn)提議... ...）;

2.不錄用，拒絕接納；

3.排斥排異（移植的器官）；

4.不夠關(guān)心，拋棄。例，when her husband left home she felt rejected and useless.丈夫離家后她覺得遭到了拋棄而且無能為力。

reject語氣更強(qiáng)一些，除了拒絕還有“排除摒棄拋棄”之意，而refuse語氣稍弱。
