到目前為止，全球60多個(gè)國(guó)家都有造口治療師，世界造口治療師學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)員的數(shù)目超過(guò)1500位。目前全國(guó)獲得國(guó)際認(rèn)證的造口治療師共有87人，職責(zé)包括造口護(hù)理、大小便失禁護(hù)理和復(fù)雜傷口的護(hù)理，為了幫助造口人樹(shù)立信心，戰(zhàn)勝自我，提高生活質(zhì)量，造口治療師們?cè)诟髯葬t(yī)院開(kāi)設(shè)造口門診，舉辦造口病人聯(lián)誼會(huì)為病人提供免費(fèi)咨詢、指導(dǎo)及對(duì)癥治療等服務(wù)，也為病人提供了一個(gè)極好的傾訴難言之隱的場(chǎng)所
