這家百年皮廠的名氣實在太大了，幾乎所有入坑的朋友都知道。Horween的客戶不要太多，基本上只要是叫得上名字的皮鞋品牌都用過他們的皮（當然國內(nèi)一些叫不上名字的牌子也在用）：Wesco、White's、Viberg、Alden、Wolverine、Chippewa、Clinch……不要太多。

產(chǎn)品線很廣，包含大家熟悉的CXL、馬臀、Latigo在內(nèi)，一共有50多種皮革了。。。

全部介紹是不可能的，而且我也懂不了那么多，只能講講熟悉的：

工裝上經(jīng)?？吹降钠?，特點是油脂豐富，看著光亮，穿久了出茶芯patina，自修復(fù)性強。這是一種復(fù)合鞣制的全粒面皮，先鉻鞣再植鞣，Horween介紹總共需要28個工作日鞣制完成。一般來說鉻鞣的皮比較柔軟，耐用；植鞣的皮比較硬，會產(chǎn)生好看的patina效果。CXL綜合了鉻鞣和植鞣的優(yōu)點。

我只能說，以官網(wǎng)說法為準吧，霍爾文已經(jīng)說CXL是全粒面了，而且是一種用秘制配方鞣制了100多年、相當成熟的皮種，口碑在那里，不然雙W、Viberg、Alden他們也不會一直在用。

我個人覺得CXL是一種綜合性能不錯，很適合工裝舊化效果的皮，除了延展性大導(dǎo)致長期使用會被拉伸這種“缺點”外，綜合性能是要比那些名不見經(jīng)傳的高價皮更好的。由于CXL大家都在用，出貨量很大，所以總有幸存者偏差，由此還產(chǎn)生了國內(nèi)CXL不如國外CXL的說法，讓人比較無語。。。詳細可以參考之前寫的皮革松面文章，這里面的影響因素很多，不能簡單的錯誤歸因國內(nèi)不如國外。

CXL馬皮牛皮都有，而且CXL馬皮還會分前身皮（horsefront）和長條皮（Strip）。Aero喜歡用CXL馬前身皮做皮衣。而長條皮因為靠近馬屁股，一般來說密度高，生長紋少，拿來做鞋質(zhì)感不錯。

H馬臀被譽為皮革中的鉆石，地位很高。由于物以稀而貴，所以很多人會對此產(chǎn)生信仰，即便沒買過也喜歡把它掛在嘴邊以凸顯自己博學(xué)強知，甚至把它吹上天。其實說白了這就是一種很亮、密度很高、褶皺很特別的皮，以及加工繁瑣、鞣制時間長，除此之外并沒有太多值得吹的地方了。此外馬臀很怕水，下雨最好別穿。

再就是個人覺得H馬臀和其他馬臀（日本新禧、小川、宮內(nèi)，英國Clayton，意大利馬臀等等）是兩種東西，鞋子的話能買H馬臀就買H馬臀。

與CXL一樣也是復(fù)合鞣制的全粒面皮，但我個人感覺Latigo油脂沒有CXL那么豐富，再就是會比CXL更硬一點。此外，不同顏色的Latigo，皮革性質(zhì)也有所不同，不太好一概而論。比如Moc色的Latigo，看著就是皮革原色，密度相當大，同時也比較硬。

而Natural色的Latigo看起來是比原色皮更淺的顏色，呈現(xiàn)的卻是柔軟的質(zhì)感。

很有趣的一種皮，用的是皮革的肉面，經(jīng)過各種處理后上了一層蠟。因為蠟并不會附著的很牢固，所以一點磕碰剮蹭就會露出皮的底色，形成風味很濃的舊化效果，斑駁且粗獷。這是種令人愛憎分明的皮，喜歡的人會很喜歡，討厭的人就覺得太粗獷了。。

據(jù)我在reddit上的了解，它就是CXL不做最后2步的染色拋光處理，然后使用皮革的肉面，在上面涂上蠟，就制成了waxed flesh，所以它也是一種耐用的復(fù)鞣全粒面皮。

說Dublin之前可以簡單說下Essex，這是種植鞣革，據(jù)Horween所說用了和馬臀同樣的鞣制方法，但原材料是牛皮。常見的Essex是原色的，而Dublin則是Essex上蠟上油再經(jīng)過處理的版本。從我買的Dublin來看，皮面普遍風格原始粗獷，生產(chǎn)紋比較常見。

一家創(chuàng)立比Horween更早的美國皮革廠， 歷史 超過150年，主要制造各種原始粗獷的植鞣革。WC在國內(nèi)的名氣很低很低，比一些意大利皮革廠更沒存在感，更別說Horween了。我試著在TB搜了搜，結(jié)果發(fā)現(xiàn)了海覺用這個植鞣革做的6mm厚重口味腰帶，看起來舊化效果挺帶感。

比較巧的是，Wickett & Craig也有一種名為Latigo的皮，密度很高并且還比較重磅，日本地位很高的Clinch就用過這種Latigo進行手工刷色：

感覺美國除了Horween之外，其他皮廠的名氣都一般般了，而且都專注于植鞣革生產(chǎn)，不過 歷史 都挺悠久的，比如上面的Wickett & Craig和這里的Hermann Oak。

Hermann Oak 1881年成立，官網(wǎng)上的產(chǎn)品類目主要有馬具馬韁、皮鞋中底、皮帶條，而且，赫爾曼橡樹也有Latigo。以前我只知道Horween有Latigo，檢索了一番才知道原來大家都有。。。不過赫爾曼橡樹的這個Latigo是100%植鞣的，不像Horween的是復(fù)合鞣制。

這家美國皮革廠名字的縮寫很好記，可以拿來罵人。因為被紅翼爸爸收購了，所以S.B Foot的體量相對來說挺大的。

說到iLcea可能知道的人不多，但如果提到Museum Calf，可能知道的人會多一點。iLcea就是生產(chǎn)Museum Calf博物館小牛皮的皮革廠，成立于1930年代，但后來因為創(chuàng)始人作死而破產(chǎn)了，2014年被另一家意大利皮革公司Gruppo Vecchia Toscana收購。

比較矚目的一種小牛皮，因為皮面顏色深淺不一、具有斑駁的大理石紋路而出名。最初是給Johh Lobb獨家使用，后來慢慢地大家都在用了，而且在官網(wǎng)上iLcea把Museum Calf的名字改成了Radica，并且歸到了Box calf這個類目下面。

這個應(yīng)該算是一個皮革大類了，好幾個皮革廠都有這個名字的皮革，我只買過iLcea的Box calf，感覺就是一種密度和光澤度高、褶皺細膩的高品質(zhì)鉻鞣小牛皮。

此外我還買過iLcea的Box鉻鞣馬皮，拿來做了皮衣，皮面特征和Box calf比較類似，但因為是馬皮所以彎折的時候覺得更硬，密度更是夸張到穿不出多少褶子。。。但因為是鉻鞣所以整體來說還是可以算比較軟的。

此外，偶然在Style Forum上看到iLcea官方賬號2014年宣布停產(chǎn)馬皮，看來我這個以后可能會升值了。。。

這個廠，玩手工皮具的朋友可能聽說過，經(jīng)?？吹降腗irvena Box就是他們生產(chǎn)的。Badalassi Carlo成立了40多年，是意大利植鞣革協(xié)會成員。

此外，業(yè)內(nèi)最貴的工裝靴——WhiteKloud白云，也有用他們的皮做鞋：

大名鼎鼎的Guidi，是有自家皮革廠的，1896年就成立了。早期只是做著皮革廠該做的工作，而做鞋則是很后面的業(yè)務(wù)了。

Guidi皮革廠歷年的客戶也不少，其中大部分都是先鋒品牌，比如Carpe Diem，Carol Christian Poell，Rick Owens，Layer-0，Incarnation等等。

Guidi最出名的就是植鞣做舊馬皮，質(zhì)感很棒。

簡稱CFS，成立于1904年的英國皮廠，比Horween還早一年，但名氣沒那么大。CFS產(chǎn)品線也非常豐富，其中絨面革做的很不錯，是Alden、Viberg、Visvim，還有一些英國一線鞋廠的供應(yīng)商。

一種絨毛非常細膩的絨面小牛皮。CFS通過精選小牛皮原材料，使用獨家鞣制配方制作而成，反面是柔軟的絨面，正面是經(jīng)過苯胺處理的全粒面。根據(jù)CFS官網(wǎng)的介紹——“這是我們最好的絨面皮”。

一些高價位的鞋履品牌會使用這種皮，比如Paolo Scafaro、Saint Crispin's、Antonio Meccariello等等。

非洲野生羚羊皮，CFS使用與Janus Calf相同的鞣制方法來處理這種皮，這種鞣制方法可以最大限度保留皮面的自然特性，在此基礎(chǔ)上又加入了足量的蠟質(zhì)，最終的成品具備粒面自然、保留著原皮傷痕的特征，并且結(jié)合了高強度與高柔軟度。

按我自己的穿著體驗，這種皮柔軟有韌性，耐操又舒服。剛開始會覺得有點干，但穿了2年期間打理幾次，逐漸吸收油蠟之后就會變得很光亮，是一種很有意思的皮。

J&F J.Baker，1862年因為創(chuàng)始人購買了一家皮革廠而成立，目前是英國最后一家還在用橡樹進行鞣制皮革的皮廠。很多買皮帶的朋友，嘴里說著的JF馬韁，就是這個廠出品的。他們的植鞣革，鞣制過程異常漫長，上面介紹H馬臀要鞣制6個月，而JF則要鞣制12個月。也難怪他們的皮帶條要賣到兩三百一根的高價了。

JF馬韁的特點就是保留了皮面的原始風格，全粒面的皮革毛孔清晰可見，不像JE那樣表層被處理過顯得很光亮。不過各有各的好吧，有的人無法接受原始皮面更喜愛看著光亮的，但就皮質(zhì)而言肯定JF更好點。

除了JF，英國做馬韁的皮革廠還有J&E Sedgwick、Clayton、TWS，感覺產(chǎn)品線都很重合，都是各種馬韁馬具、高端皮中底，就不多說了。

經(jīng)常提到的日本新禧就是它了，成立也比較早，1951年到現(xiàn)在快70年了。專注于制造馬皮、馬臀，很多日本品牌的皮衣如FreeWheelers、The Real Mccoy's、Buco用的就是新禧馬皮，同時，美國的Himel Bros、Good wear也很喜歡用，Himel Bros的創(chuàng)始人甚至說新禧馬皮是世界上最好的皮衣用皮（對此我很存疑。。。把天神櫪木、CXL馬長條、加州小熊、Guidi馬皮都不放在眼里嗎？）

除了新禧，日本還有很多小型皮革廠，比如聚集在栃木縣的那些，但有些皮廠小到連官網(wǎng)都沒有，實在是沒法介紹了。這點有點類似于意大利的托斯卡納地區(qū)，那里也有一堆小皮廠，但因為太小，所以很多人就直接叫托斯卡納皮了。。。

寫了這么多，也許有朋友會問，你最推薦什么皮？我想說這個問題沒有很好的答案， 不同皮，特性不同價格不同玩法也不同，我覺得只有符合你喜好的才是合適的皮。再說了，我寫在文章里面的基本上都是好皮。

有的皮很重磅很硬核，有的皮很油亮，有的皮很舒服，有的皮舊化patina明顯，根據(jù)自己的喜好來，明白自己到底想要什么，再進行選擇就行了。

千萬別告訴我你自己都不知道自己想要什么，如果真這樣那我只能說：不買立省100%。
