雙星系統(tǒng)有什么特殊性？

“雙星”在天文學上指兩顆互相環(huán)繞運行的恒星?！半p子座”是著名的“黃道十二星座”中的一個。在古希臘神話中它們被想象成友愛的兩兄弟——Castor 和 Pollux，通常被翻譯為卡斯托和普爾尤克斯。

向東北方向延長獵戶座β星和α星的連線，可以碰到兩顆相距不遠的亮星，其中亮一些的是雙子座β星（我國古代稱其為“北河三”），亮度為1.14等，是全天第十七亮星；稍微暗點兒的是雙子座α星（我國古代叫它“北河二”），亮度為1.97等。

有時兩顆同一視線上的恒星看上去在一起，實際上相距很遠，稱為“光學雙星”。組成雙星的兩顆恒星中較亮的一顆稱為主星，較暗的一顆稱為伴星，有的雙星在相互繞轉(zhuǎn)時，會發(fā)生類似日食的現(xiàn)象，從而使這類雙星的亮度周期性地變化。

雙子座的希臘傳說

雙子座的原型是麗達王妃和宙斯生下的一對雙胞胎：Castor 和 Pollux。

麗達原是斯巴達國王Tyndareus之妻，宙斯為了勾引她而化身成天鵝，他們交合的結果就是Leda生下了兩顆鵝卵。一顆鵝卵中誕生了Castor與克呂泰墨斯特拉，斯巴達國王的孩子；而另一顆里面則誕生了Pollux與Helen，宙斯的孩子。那么在這個神話里總共出現(xiàn)了2對雙胞胎，一對男性一對女性，Castor和Pollux是男性，被稱作是Dioskouroi，意思就是“神之子”。只是哥哥的身份是“神”，且有永恒的生命，弟弟則是一般的普通人。有一天，希臘遭到了一頭巨大的野豬攻擊，王子們召集許多的勇士去**野豬，當野豬順利地被解決后，勇士之間卻因為互爭功勞，而在彼此之間結下了仇恨。

在一次市集的熱鬧場合中，兩邊互看對方不順眼的勇士不期而遇，當然又免不了一番爭吵。在爭吵中，有人開始動起武來，於是場面變得一發(fā)不可收拾，許多人都在這場打殺中受傷，甚至死亡。很不幸地，兩位王子當中的弟弟，也是在這一場混亂之中，被殺身亡。

一向與這個弟弟特別要好的哥哥，完全無法接受弟弟已經(jīng)死亡的消息，抱著弟弟的尸首不停的痛哭，希望弟弟可以起死回生，讓兩人可以一起重享以前手足情深的歡樂日子。哥哥回到天上向父親宙斯請求，希望宙斯可以讓弟弟復活。但是宙斯向他表示，弟弟只是個普通的人，本就會死，若是真的要讓弟弟復活，就必須把哥哥剩余的生命分給弟弟。感情深厚的哥哥，毫不猶豫的馬上答應了，從此之后，兄弟倆又可以一起快樂的生活了。
